2015 Herb Graffis Award

The New Jersey PGA Section was given the 2015 Herb Graffis Award for the second time in four years (also won in 2012).  This honor, given out by the PGA of America, is awarded to the Section that has shown extraordinary and exemplary contributions in Player Development.

PGA Tour player and New Jersey native Morgan Hoffmann visited Fiddler's Elbow last month to promote young golfers with the #HealthyStepsNJ campaign.

St. Michael's Golf in Schools Program


On Tuesday, February 3, the NJGF began a three week program at St. Michael Catholic School in Newark, NJ. The first day was a success thanks to NJPGA Director; Junior Golf & Player Development, Greg Zohovetz, and Jeff Fortunato, Sam Kang and Craig Wesolowski from the Essex Golf Range!

Father English Community Center - After School Program

Wednesday, January 14 marked the first day of an 8-week after school program at Father English Community Center in Paterson, New Jersey. Led by Professionals Brian Dobbie and Bob Downey, the program works with eight elementary school children to teach the fundamentals of golf from the swing to etiquette and the rules. At the end of the program, the children will have the opportunity to play and practice at a golf club in the area.
