Re: NJPGA / New Jersey Golf Foundation Associate Program Dues
Dear Professional:
As a former PGA Professional and President of the New Jersey Golf Foundation, I have personally witnessed many benefits the New Jersey PGA has brought to the game of golf in our state. There have been many PGA Professionals over the years that have volunteered their time to help teach and promote the game of golf to our members, public players and juniors throughout New Jersey.
I writing to you now to tell you in all those years, never has it been more important for our clubs to support the work of the New Jersey Golf Foundation, the charitable arm of the New Jersey PGA. The dues you pay to the Foundation help fund our growth of the game and junior golf initiatives. These programs are the backbone of what will grow the business of golf in New Jersey. As forecasted rounds remain flat and we face difficult economic conditions, I call on you and your facility to support the work of the New Jersey PGA, which is teaching and managing these programs that will keep the game healthy this year and into the future. The PGA of America’s new Golf 2.0 program, Get Golf Ready and other learning programs are making a difference right now in our businesses. Our junior golf programs and the junior tournaments hosted around the state are planting the seed and building a foundation for the future of the game in New Jersey.
Your dues help the funding of our expanding Golf in Schools program which has been introduced into over 160 schools to date, as well as new YMCA and Boys & Girls Club programs right here in New Jersey. These programs use golf as the means to teach our children valuable interpersonal skills that will remain with them for a lifetime. Many of these programs are being offered in urban areas and to children who may not have the means to learn and play the game if not for the programs being offered by the NJ Golf Foundation.
The cost of your club’s annual dues is just $300.00. Unlike many other dues your club pays, the Associates Program is fully tax-deductible. We look forward to your support and hope you have a great 2013 golf season.
Sincerely,
Gregg Angelillo, President
NJ Golf Foundation
